DESCRIPTION: The composite guitars may not please everybody but as far as I know they allow to get the richer steel string sound for a small (and light!) body. Of course they don't sound like a vintage D-28 but they shouldn't be taken for this. That guitar is projecting fairly well for such a small size (if you ask anybody to take your gig bag, they will certainly think they carry a tennis racket!) and have a decent bass. The trebles are producing a bell like sound, almost shimmering. When you strum the guitar you get a kind of rattling sound, almost like a washboard. It is not unpleasant at all and even if the width at nut let believe that you'd rather play fingerstyle, the X7 is a very interesting gar to go with innovative percussive drumming. The hollow neck is certainly part of that strange alchemy. It's true with every guitar but especially for that one: you need to come and try it. You may not like her - she has a strong personalty - but the X7 really deserves a try! Price with Deluxe Gig bag, no case option. Remember! Our prices include the following benefits: free annual set-up, 10% discounts on strings, repairs and lessons and a 100% value trade-back for future upgrade. And if you don't find what you want - or if you are ready to wait a little longer - we can place special orders and get you very low prices!

EMERALD:Emerald is the brainchild of Irish luthier Alistair Hay. Since 1998, Alistair has been going through several crisis but he sticked with his dream. His guitars are unique. As Alistair writes, those guitars are buil "with the mind set of what is possible rather than what is normal".
