Serial # 5112. Archtop acoustic Jazz Guitar. Top is made of Solid Sitka Spruce (Eastman Violin style tin). Back and sides are made of figured mahogany. The very classy Rosewood tailpiece and the unique Eastman “violin” tint makes that guitar a very fine piece of art. She sounds loud and surprisingly warm. She will work great for Jazz, but can be also a great alternative for some rock/folk acts.
That guitar was made in Eastman’s Beijing workshop in the late 2000s. Eastman definitely stands out from the “Made in China” mass produced guitar. So far, it has been the only Chinese workshop being mentioned in the ultra selective Fretboard Journal. The AR-605, when available, goes for $1,400.
She comes in a her original hardshell case.
