We'll get our higher end guitars chipped with Snagg!
We can install the microchip on your guitar for $65, $45 if you buy (or bought already) the guitar to us. We've got a scanner, so we'll be able to test the chips but also scan all guitars coming in!
The microchip will give proof of ownership (which can make the process easier to retrieve your property), but not only. When you register the guitar on Snagg website, you'll be able to enter all information about your instrument that will help to track it back. Snagg retrieval rate is currently 35%.
In case of theft or loss, get a police report first then change the status of you instrument on their website. From there, Snagg will be able to track it, not only where the chip may be scanned, but also trough their web robots scanning all reselling sites and databases.
If it is found, local authorities are notified to obtain the merchandise to be scanned and positively ID’d as yours using one of 400,000 standard pet scanners available nationwide. If a scanner is not available one will be shipped directly from SNAGG.
If you ever sell your cue simply go to the SNAGG website and transfer ownership to the buyer.
